United Kingdom

In 2017, people in the UK exchanged over 82 billion SMS messages. Marketing was always a challenge for businesses, and with the introduction of GDPR, it has become even more challenging. This is one of the reasons why SMS is the top marketing channel available to users to execute cost-effective marketing and at the same time follow the privacy laws implemented recently.

There are over 5.6 million businesses in the UK and 95% of the population owns a cellphone. This incredible stat shows the market potential of SMS and how businesses can use it to grow in size and customers. Experttexting is one of the leading SMS platforms in the world and with our cutting-edge features and user friendly portals.

SMS delivery failure or delay is caused by the following restrictions or reasons;

1) Message Delay

  • Network Delay :

    Messages are sent out instantly from our portal. However, there are some rare temporary delays from the networks due to network congestion. This may be due to some special trending events like religious holidays and notable events, etc. Messages are still delivered within 15 minutes.

2) Message Failed

  • Insufficient Balance :

    Please ensure that you have sufficient balance in your account to send messages according to your volume requirement.

  • Content Spam Filter :

    SMS is heavily monitored in the UK especially with the implementation of GDPR. Spamming and illegal content is not allowed as per telecom laws of the UK.

3) Sender ID

  • Random Number :

    Sender ID for messages will be replaced by a long number (ex: 44XXXXXXXXXX) unless you create an alphanumeric sender ID from your portal.
